We recognize that legal problems can pose some of the most difficult and emotional issues for people to deal with. We also recognize that when a client comes into our office, he or she is looking for high quality legal advice, mature and reasoned counsel and representation that meets his or her needs.
We take the time necessary to represent each of our clients to the best of our ability, and strive to maintain the very highest ethical standards. We know that our clients need much more than just advice on any particular problem, and we try and adopt a more holistic approach, and give our clients our best counsel regarding both the questions they ask, and the questions they do not think to ask.
We maintain our familiarity with the latest developments in our areas of practice by attending numerous seminars and constant review of legal articles and legislative developments, so that we can provide appropriate and timely answers to even the most difficult questions. We also are familiar with related areas which clients need to know about, such as tax laws, bankruptcy laws and federal regulation of family law matters, for even though we do not practice in those areas, we recognize that in order to provide quality representation, we must understand the implications these areas provide, for our client's sake.
In the end, we also strongly encourage our clients to take responsibilty for their own lives, and although we stand ready to provide advice and counsel, we know that every decision that a client must live with is made ONLY by that client: We never would think of forcing any resolutions on anyone, and also would never settle a case without having the final decisions made by the client.
We are willing to put everything we say in writing, as evidenced by our use of a written fee agreement in every case, and a copy of every paper that comes into our office, or goes out of our office that relates to a particular client's case, goes to that client as well.
We know that truly effective legal representation requires a professional attitude by the attorney, and teamwork between the attorney and client, and we work hard to make that professional relationship a reality. We encourage settlements wherever possible and in the best interests of our clients, and offer alternate dispute resolution options such as mediation to avoid the necessity of litigation where possible. When circumstances leave no other viable option however, we have the experience and expertise necessary, and will fight aggressively for your rights.
