Staff Sergeant Vincent Townsend, age 22, is in his fifth year of a six year commitment in the Air Force. He is currently serving in Ramadi, Iraq. It is his second tour of duty in Iraq. He also has served one tour in Afghanistan. He is in TACP, Tactical Air Command Party. He is currently working with the Army & Marines on the ground, patrolling in the Ramadi area, and calls in air support by radio when needed.

Vincent graduated from El Cerrito High School. He has enjoyed a wide variety of activities, including riding his motorcycle and dirt bike, snowboarding, kayaking, and mountain biking. He intends to go to college when he leaves the military. He has two men in his family who were in the military before him: his grandfather who served as a PT boat commander in the South Pacific in WWII, and his uncle who served as a Colonel in the army.
