Prescription Assistance for the Sick and Disabled
Clients come to us for help when they have just been discharged from the hospital, emergency room, or as they leave a physician's office with prescription(s) that they have neither funds nor insurance to purchase. If we have the funds to purchase these medications, it will help prevent more serious illnesses requiring hospital stays, loss of employment, and even death in some cases.
The Society of Samaritans spent $7,896.16 to purchase medications in 2008. We did not have funds to meet the needs, but our purchasing power was increased as three pharmacies give us good discounts. We are very grateful to these for their support.
We are desperately seeking funds from any organizations, churches or individuals that recognize the problem and are willing to supplement the existing program. For more information regarding this or any other SOS program please call 281-252-9647, 281-259-8452 or
