Welcome!  WordWhiz Solitaire is a very fun letter solitaire card game that will provide countless hours of word fun and improve your vocabulary all at the same time.  The educational value you will receive by playing this game will make the small investment to purchase your license more than worth it.  The rules are simple, so you can start playing right away.

WordWhiz Solitaire includes 98 different letter cards.  Initial deal includes 7 cards.  Spell words with those letter cards and check the words against the 75,000 common word dictionary that is included.

The game begins with an automated shuffle of all 98 letter cards.  After the shuffle, the user is dealt 7 cards face up on the playing surface.  You will then move one card at a time, like in any type of card solitaire game, to spell a word using any of the 7 letters that are on the playing surface. 

Once you think you have spelled out a word correctly, you either hit the enter key or click on the "Check Word" button to check the word against the dictionary that was included with the game.  Our dictionary has over 75,000 common words used in the english language.  If you spell the word correctly, the word and point total will be added to the list of words in the upper right hand corner of the screen and all the cards used to spell that word will be sent to the discard pile.  If you are playing the highest level of difficulty, the last letter card in the correctly spelled word will be left on the table.  If our dictionary does not recognize the word, you will receive a message saying to try again.  You will then be able to try and spell another word. 

The game continues until either you cannot spell another word with the cards that are on the table, you run out of time on the word count down timer, or you use all the cards in the deck.  There are rating levels of play assigned depending on how many cards you leave on the table at the end of the game.  This rating changes each time you play.

You can shuffle the 7 cards on the playing surface by hitting the F3 key, click on the File --> Shuffle Surface menu or click on the Shuffle Surface button.  New games can be started by clicking on the F2 key or under the File --> New Game menu.  You can end the game at any time by either starting a new game or if you would like to enter your score if you qualify, you just click under File --> End Game.

You can enjoy the animation featured at the end of the game if you successfully use all cards in the deck.  You will then be a WordWhiz Solitaire Master.  Try it out FREE for 10 days.
