We are based in Tucson, but gladly travel to your choice of residence during your stay.

Ash Canyon Bed & Breakfast

This Bed and Breakfast is surely on its way to the top of the list as the destinations for hummingbirds. . . not to mention all the other species.

Here is Mary Jo's recipe for suet that she feeds her birds.  Practically every bird except the hummers come in to sample this.  It does not melt in the heat which is nice for those of us dealing with summer weather.

Peanut Butter/ Lard Cakes for the Birds.
Melt together on low heat, and stir to blend:
2 cups chunky peanut butter
2 cups lard
When fat is melted, turn off the heat.  Add the dry ingredients one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
1/2 cup sugar (optional)
2 cups flour
4 cups corn meal
4 cups oatmeal.  ("quick" is best)Blend all ingredients thoroughly.
Press mixture into a 9X13 inch pan.  Cool and cut into squares.  Or, press into empty plastic commercial suet containrs.
Chill.  Remove from containers as needed and place in suet baskets.

Battiste's Bed and Breakfast
Tony and Julie's  B & B is perfect for those that cannot just get up and go. The birding from the yard and the size of the B & B afford them to be able to pay special attention to those that need a little extra assistance and Tony just thrives on being able to show  the birds in the yard. The Elf Owl is his baby. They are not big, but offer themselves as little or as much as  guests want. They  have a little piece of heaven here and  love to be able to share it.  They are located at the base of Miller Canyon in Hereford, AZ.  Minutes away from Ash, Carr and Ramsey Canyon.

Beatty's Miller Canyon Guest Ranch and Orchard: Sierra Vista, AZ
Better than Ramsey for the Hummingbirds!!

Casa de San Pedro
Located in Hereford outside of Sierra Vista, this is one of the great Bed and Breakfasts in this area.  Patrick and Karl do a great job.

Country Inn and Suites
We are pleased to have made arrangements with this hotel.  They are friendly and very helpful, having bent over backwards to make our clients comfortable.  Please check with me for current rates.  Located in Tucson, close to the airport.

Dos Cabezas Spirit and Nature Retreat
DOS CABEZAS SPIRIT AND NATURE RETREAT is a unique bed and breakfast conveniently located just 14 miles southeast of Willcox, AZ, on Hwy. 186. It's just 20 minutes to the Chiricahua National Monument and this historical setting makes a great home base for birding, hiking, star gazing and ghost towning. www.doscabezasretreat.com. 520-384-6474.

Double K Ranch: Tucson, AZ
A great place out and away from the normal run of life.  Experience wildlife in an urban setting.

George Walker House

Paradise. . . what a name for a place to live and/or visit.   And paradise it is with so many birds. . . Montezuma Quail to name just one coming to visit the back yard.  This is probably the most reliable place to visit for the Juniper Titmouse.

I just had the privilege of staying in the Walker House. The Bed and Breakfast is fabulous and the surrounding to die for.  Jackie and Winston go out of their way to make your visit more than expected.  Highly recommended!!!!

Hacienda del Desierto Bed and Breakfast
I just recently became acquainted with this place.  Located on the east side of town right next to Saguaro National Park East, it has wonderful views and the property is landscaped with wildlife in mind.

Ventana Condo

This condo belongs to a client of mine.  If you are looking for a place to stay for a month or more. . . this just might fit the bill.  Shorter rentals are also available.  It is located about 1 mile from Sabino Canyon.
