Friday Nights In America (Courtesy of Ross Productions/ An RDC Entertainment Company)
Join us as we travel to west Texas, behind the scenes in the Permian lockerroom. Hear the Head Coach's pre-game speech. Follow the team out into their 19,000 seat stadium. Feel the screams of passionate west Texas fans as their beloved Panthers take on their arch rivals, Midland Lee. Experience the magic of MOJO, Permian's spirit that mystically drives them.
Follow our cameras into a private meeting at De La Salle H.S., as we film the team that has won 151 straight games. Hear the players in Concord, California talk about why they think they continue to win. You'll be shocked at the affluent community's indifference to "the streak". Meet the greatest head football coach in the history of high school football, Bob Ladouceur, as he talks about "the streak" and what it really means to the team.
Fly over 450,000 acres of sugar cane in the S. Florida Everglades to two dirt poor towns that, together, have sent more players to the NFL than any other two schools. See Pahokee and Glades Central play each other in a fierce rivalry in front of 9,000 fans in the "The Muck Bowl".
After filling you with spectacular highlights from the nation's dominant football programs, we visit tiny Hawkinsville, GA for a "miracle in the deep south." You'll also travel 600 miles north to see what it's like when a steel mill town in western, PA loses its high school team.
It's all in this powerful DVD that's filled with approx. one hour of features and extras.
Buy a copy of FRIDAY NIGHTS IN AMERICA and re-live the phenomenon of high school football in the fall. A must-see for anyone who has ever played the game or wished they had.

"The fusion of words and pictures benefits from Brodnax ability to tap experience and observation and what he calls Leal's ability to "spit in the eye of age. High recommendations for this one..." Mike Price- Ft.Worth Business Press
Ken Brodnax, sometimes just known as "Nax," knows here of he writes when it comes to baby boomers, because he is one. But when it came time to lend an artistic touch to the subject, Nax turned to a Gen Xer, Reynaldo Leal.
The two have the Odessa (Texas) American newspaper in common. Brodnax has written more than 3,000 columns for that newspaper in the past 20 years, and Leal, a commercial artist, does freelance illustrations.
Both have won statewide awards for their work. Brodnax, a native of San Angelo, Texas, and a graduate of West Texas A & M University has written two other books and contributed to several others.
Leal is a graduate of Odessa Permian High School, Odessa College and the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. He is a self-described "techno-geek" and enjoys hiking, biking, and hunting. Greatest Moments in Texas High School Football History Sorry... This item is currently sold out at this time. The old expression that "Everything is big in Texas" is true. And nothing is bigger in Texas than high school football. For nearly fifty years Americans have heard mythical tales of the exploits of schoolboy football in the Lone Star state. From its long distances that many West Texas teams have to travel to play, to the legendary players. King Football is a scrapbook of wonderful memories and glory remembered, which celebrates these bigger-than-life heroes, their tall tales and the 175 greatest games ever played over the past 110 years. King Football retraces the birth of Texas football and its founder, James Richardson, who learned the game at Yale from Walter Camp in the late 1880's and early 90's and brought it to Galveston's Ball High School in 1892, where the first high school game in Texas was played that fall. Written by the best sportswriters in the state, with more than 400 unforgettable photos. It also includes the best sports stats package ever put together.
