How this book came about ...

Dear Readers,

dear mamma is a book I wrote for a close friend of mine, Nancy Dearing, when she told me she was expecting her first baby. In letter form, I started jotting little morsels of advice from my naturally-minded ways. The letter quickly grew into a full book project. The original title was going to be Mamma Nan, after my friend’s name. However, with advice of many, I decided to go with dear mamma, a collection of letters, notes, thoughts and quotes.

I hope you will enjoy dear mamma, and share it with new and experienced mammas. There is something inside for all mammas.

God bless you,

Melissa M. Harden
