GENERAL PREFECTS' ANNUAL REPORT
A
ll is well that ends well. All too soon we have almost run the full course of our tenure of office. In
every institution there is a time when people in authority are replaced by new people with fresh ideas, so
that they can also steer the affairs of the society with their own principles. 14th June 2004 will
be one the memorable days in our lives. It was on this day that our great predecessors handed the mantle of leadership
over to us to continue their good work. We, beign naive about what was ahead of us, accepted this challenge and pledged
to bring out the best in us. Though we must admit that our term of office had not always been rosy, we were able
to make it by the grace of the Almighty Father.
During our term of office we were able to achieve so much in terms of maintaining good sanitation and a clean environment
congenial enough for academic work in the school, some of which included the construction of a urinal.
This move was the brain child of our dynamic headmaster. We also planted hedges to prevent students from trespassing. We,
in collaboration with the dining hall prefects, were able to maintain discipline in the dining hall irrespective of your form.
We were able to keep the roadside plots spike and span, through the aid of the Assistant Headmaster, Mr. Appiah Nyantakyi (Akosombo).
We brought a policy which stated that "behave like a madman as soon as you see any litter" since anytime a madman sees any litter
he picks it which helps in keeping the compound clean. We also laised with all the house captains in making sure that the dormitory
areas are always kept clean.
We also helped prefects like, senior class captains, prep prefects, chapel prefects, library prefects, agric. prefects and other
prefects in their various sectors in ensuring that perection is achieved. The highest level of discipline was attained during our
year of office. We managed to control all forms of indiscipline on the part of the juniors and seniors who tried to hamper our
progress.
Recognition of the most disciplined students, the most disciplined house and the most disciplined class of the week also helped
us in maintaining discipline in the school. We are grateful to the administration for the provision of dust bins at vantage points
to prevent students from littering the campus.
This report will not be completed without without expressing our gratitude to the following personalities. Mr. Kwesi Asmah (Asst. Headmaster
Administration), Mr. Nyantakyi Appiah (Asst. Headmaster Academic), Mr. Amoasi Baidu (Senior Housemaster), Mr. M.M. Doh, Mr. S.P. Foli
Mr. Johnny Easmon (Housemaster), Mr. Owusu Donkor, Chaplains and other masters who helped us in diverse ways to be at where we have reached today.
It is our prayer that, the incoming prefects will be able to maintain if not surpass the level we have reached. There should be no going backwards.
They should do whatever there is within their means to advise the students body to desist the act of bullying.
Finally, we feel very proud and delighted that during our term of office, the school achieved chains of successes and victories in many fields of
human endeavours.
Once again we will like to express our profound gratitude to the Headmaster, Staff, Fellow Prefects and the entire student body,
especially Agyemang Michael Ofori of 3D for their support and cooperation which went a long way the help the 2004/2005 academic year to be a most
successful and eventful year. |
