Koforidua Secondary Technical School, as we all know, was founded thirty-five years ago.
During those years, students have shown individual as well as collective initiatives in order
to make the school what it is today. Society can testify that it has been time well spent,
for what has emerged is “Mmarimamma” – a doctor, an engineer, a teacher, an artisan, many of
whom are at the forefront of their community.
However, over the years, despite the population growth at the school, the buildings and other
facilities have been crumbling and deteriorating. As concerned “Graduates”, we are confronted
with the realities of the inadequate infrastructure of our Alma Mater. This situation clearly
affects the standards and quality of education. For that reason, we have initiated a visionary
project called “San Behwe Wakyi”(Save Sec-Tech), a plan to rejuvenate the buildings and
improve the facilities starting with the Dining Hall.
The Dining Hall is the focal point of the institution. Presently, the roof, the window louver-blades, dining tables and chairs, floor tiles and painted surfaces are in a state of deterioration. The Headmaster has indicated that it will cost about U.S.$40,000.00 to renovate the Dining Hall. This can be done in phases in accordance with donations received. For a complete list of necessary expenditures, please check "Headmaster's Vision" on the school’s website .
Take a Look at the The Conditon of the Dining Hall . Undoubtedly, this is a very costly undertaking. Nonetheless, it is time to make a difference;
we must seize the opportunity to make a contribution to this fund. We have an obligation to help
develop Sec-Tech.
Please make Cheques or Money Orders payable to: T.D. Canada Trust Branch # 0089 Note: Alternative methods of payment such as Visa, MasterCard, and Amex etc. will be introduced on our Website in due course. Account in Ghana will also be introduced soon. MAIL TO: |
