Suza Designs With Ruth Walker, Feltmaker: Suza Wooldridge (Suza Designs) and I have entered upon a collaboration based upon wool and our avid interest in dyeing it. Our work is clearly about color, texture, & function. We've chosen to work with wool for its great affinity for dyes, ability to insulate, & ease of care. Wooldridge paints fabric, heat-sets the dyes, then pole-wraps & over-dyes the resulting pleats; jacket construction follows. Walker dyes wool fibers, silk & mixed fiber yarns, then hand-felts coordinating accessories.
