Wines from Washington

Horse Heaven Hills

Bunnell Family Cellars

The Bunnell Family Cellar hand-crafts two types of wine. from grape varieties native to the Rhone Valley of France. Vins de l'endroit (wines of a place) are designed to capture the terroir of the vineyard or appellation from which they
originate.
Vins de l'esprit
(wines of the creative spirit) are traditional and non-traditional  expressions of the art of blending.

Kiona Estates

Kiona Vineyards was founded by John and Ann Williams with forer partners in 1972 with the purchase of 86 acres of raw land in the arid climate of Southeastern Washington.  Located on Red Mountain, the site would later be an internationally recognized premier wine appellation.  The original site was void of roads, utilities or structure.  The initial Kiona production in 1980 was 504 cases, compared to the 25,000 cases produced in 2005.

L'Ecole # 41

A family-owned business, L'Ecole Nš 41 was founded by Jean and Baker Ferguson. Today, the winery is owned and operated by their daughter and son-in-law, Megan and Martin Clubb.

Built in 1915, the schoolhouse is located in historic Frenchtown, a small community just west of Walla Walla, Washington. Frenchtown derived its name from the many French-Canadians who settled the valley during the early 1800s. Legend has it, these men of French descent were raising grapes and producing wine. By the 1860s, nurseries, vineyards and winemaking had become a part of the regions' growing economy. The name - L'Ecole Nš 41 French for "the school" located in district number 41 - was chosen to salute these pioneer viticulture efforts.

Seven Hills Winery

Seven Hills Winery

Seven Hills wines are known for their balance: a trinity of fruit, acidity and tannin that make our red wines delicious upon release and a rewarding sensory experience with cellar age. Our focus is varietal red wine made from the appellations of Eastern Washington. We harvest from vineyards in the Columbia, Walla Walla and Red Mountain appellations, choosing growers whose commitment to quality matches our own.

Winemaker Casey McClellan works with our growers throughout the year monitoring each stage of development in the vineyards as the seasons progress. Respecting the terroir of these sites, we choose to vineyard-designate wines from Klipsun and Seven Hills Vineyard; and blend selectively from other sites to create appellation-designated wines. In addition to our core red wine program we make an off-dry Riesling and a Pinot Gris from fruit sourced in the cooler appellations in Oregon. Fruity and aromatic, these wines are a delightful complement to the reds.

Woodward Canyon

Woodward Canyon was started in 1981 by Rick Small and his wife, Darcey Fugman-Small. Since that time, the winery has consistently produced premium, award-winning cabernet sauvignons and merlots as well as barrel-fermented chardonnays. Early on Rick determined that quality would take precedence over quantity. Consequently, Woodward Canyon has remained small, increasing its production from 1,200 cases in 1981 to our current production of about 13,000 cases.
