France

Charles Brotte founded the Maison in 1931. By the 1950's he created the Pere Anselme brand, named after his father, and became a negociant-eleveur; producing a proprietary Chateauneuf du Pape known as La Fiole. This uniquely packaged item is the number one selling Chateauneuf du Pape in the world. His grandson, Laurent, now controls the destiny of the company. Under Laurent's direction, Maison Brotte has acquired ownership of a number of prestigious estates throughout the Rhone Valley. Maison Brotte now comprises two complimentary ranges of wines: the estate line, under the Laurent Charles Brotte label, and the more affordable wines of Vin de Pays and Cepage, marketed under the Pere Anselme brand. All vineyards are Sustainably Farmed!

Charles Neal Selections :

Charles Neal is an importer based in San Francisco, California who distributes estate-bottled wines from appellations in France.

While Charles Neal Selections deals with wonderful wines from nearly all the French wine regions, his specialties include the Southwestern part of the country (the Pyrenees) and the Eastern part of the country (the Alps). These lost regions of France contain relatively unknown appellations like Madiran, Cahors, Jurançon, Gaillac, Côtes du Frontonnais, Marcillac, and Béarn, as well as the unheralded Alpine crus of Chignin, Arbin, Apremont, Ripaille and Marestel.

Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provance

Named after the Château situated on the 300-hectare estate, Beaulieu literally translates to “nice location.” Founded as a stronghold by Henri III in 1576, it successively belonged to all the great noble families of Provence, who took great care to preserve this exceptional property.

The vast 300-hectare estate is the largest in the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation of southeastern France, 180 of which are under vine. Truffle oak and almond trees are also farmed on the property.

Located in the heart of a dormant volcano, La Trévaresse, in the town of Rognes, the vines of Château Beaulieu benefit from the unique composition and diverse range of the soils.

In continuing with tradition, from the vineyard management to the winemaking, every effort is made to create fruity, supple and aromatic wines that faithfully reflect the terroir.

Bordeaux

Translated as “great reputation,” Château Grand Renom was named for its excellent location in eastern Bordeaux along the banks of the Dordogne River in the town of Eynesse of southwest France. The Château itself was built in the late 18th century, while the winery was founded in 1861.

When House Antoine Moueix purchased the property, they took great care in restructuring the winery and vineyards to optimize the quality of the wines. Today, the estate is comprised of 40 hectares of vines planted in a limestone plateau with

deep underlying layers of clay and silt that give the wines complexity and minerality.

In the vineyard, they practice sustainable methods of viticulture to protect the environment. In the cellar, they apply classic Bordeaux winemaking techniques.

Cahors

Château St Didier-Parnac is located in the Lot Valley in Cahors - the heart of southwest France.

Its roots date back to 1755. During the Barbarian invasions the vineyards of Cahors were left in ruins. Saint Didier - the Count of Cahors - left the court to revive the region of Quercy. The appellation expanded as new vineyard sites were planted and the wines established a prestigious reputation. Saint Didier became the ambassador of what was referred to as the “black wine of Cahors” given the deep color it obtains from the Malbec - the predominant variety of the area.

The vineyards of Chateau St. Didier-Parnac surround the castle of the same name in the town of Parnac. For more than 250 years, this historical estate has developed its expertise, assuring tradition, authenticity and quality for a range of Cahors wines.

Chateauneuf du Pape

Charles Brotte founded the Maison in 1931. At the time, most wines were traded in barrel lots. By the 1950's, he created the Pere Anselme brand which he named after his father. Mr. Brotte became a negociant-eleveur and produced a unique Chateauneuf-du-Pape. This wine was packaged in a bottle that paid homage to the illustrious history of the Rhone Valley. The proprietary bottle gave way to the wines name, La Fiole, which means “the Flask”. All of the vineyards are farmed Sustainably! In recent years, the Pere Anselme brand has expanded to include a range of affordable wines that represent the different aspects of the Rhone Valley. Today "La Fiole du Pape" is sold in ninety countries and is the largest selling Chateauneuf du Pape in the world. It is also the only multi-vintage blend allowed under French law. The Pere Anselme line also includes an assortment of Vin de Pays and Cepage wines that offer excellent quality and value

Scott Paul Selections:

In 2005 we launched our Burgundy import company, Scott Paul Selections. We import nearly 100 different wines from 15 producers and sell them nationally through our distribution channels, as well as offer them for tasting and for sale in our tasting room. Red Burgundies are produced in the Burgundy region of France from the same grape we grow here — Pinot Noir — allowing us to offer visitors the unique opportunity to taste New World Pinot from Oregon and Old World Pinot from Burgundy side by side.

Scott's passion for wine was born over many bottles of great Burgundy on the family dinner table while growing up in Chicago. "I seek out wines made in a style that I love to drink at home. From established superstars to the next generation of rising stars, I'm on a mission to bring the best of Burgundy to America. I personally taste and select every wine that we import and sell. I have long-term relationships with our producers, and only bring in wines grown and made by people who are committed to the highest quality and attention to detail." He's a student of all things Burgundian, and spends up to eight weeks each year in the region working closely with all of our producers.
