C. G. Di Arie

-
C.G.Di Arie

In 2000, Chaim and Elisheva purchased a 209-acre parcel of uncultivated land between the south and middle forks of the Cosumnes River in the Shenandoah Valley of the Sierra Foothills. Located at 1,700 feet, with excellent sandy loam soil, warm days, cool temperate nights, and strong winds to protect the grapes from mildew, Chaim knew that he could plant a vineyard on the property that would one day yield superior estate zinfandel and syrah.
As vineyard cultivation began, Chaim and Elisheva worked together co-designing their cutting-edge 12,000 square foot winemaking facility. Using the natural slope of the terrain, the winery is built on two plateaus to facilitate the gravity flow that is a part of Chaim’s delicate approach to winemaking. Featuring two art galleries that display a small representation of the couple’s world-class collection of California art, the winery at C.G. Di Arie is now an elegant home for Chaim and Elisheva to pursue their passions. With 20 acres already planted and plans to cultivate 50 more over the next five years, the Gur-Ariehs have crafted a promising vineyard that is already producing great fruit.
Planted at an elevation of 1,700 feet with zinfandel, syrah, petit sirah, primitivo, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc, one of the main goals of the vineyard is to develop consistency of fruit from vine to vine. With subtle variations from red, granitic rocky loam, to sandy loam, the soil at C. G. Di Arie is ideal, offering good root penetration to the vines.

Eberle Winery

-
Eberle Winery

In 1973, Gary Eberle began his career in the wine industry by heading his family’s Estrella River Winery (currently Meridian Vineyards in Paso Robles) and produced 500,000 cases a year at its facility. Eberle’s pioneering spirit didn’t stop there. In 1980, he co-founded the Paso Robles Appellation and in 1983, Gary opened the doors to his own Eberle Winery with the premiere of Eberle’s 1979 Cabernet Sauvignon. Today, Eberle handcrafts 25,000 cases of wine each year from surrounding Estate vineyards. And, after more than 25 years since the release of the Eberle label, the winery consistently remains one of the highest award-winning wineries in the United States. The BoarThe German name "Eberle" translates to "small boar." At Eberle Winery, a bronze boar greets every guest who visits the Tasting Room. The statue is the 93rd replica of the original bronze Porcellino cast by Tacca in 1620. And today, the original can be found in the straw market in Florence, Italy. It is considered good luck to rub the boar's nose and toss a coin in the water below. All money collected at the Eberle boar fountain is donated to local children's charities. The Tasting Room & CavesThe redwood building that houses the Winery and Tasting Room was built to be a natural extension of the vineyard and surrounding countryside. But in 1994, Eberle was seeking additional space for the red wine program and decided to go underground. Today, 16,000 square feet of underground caves located below the winery create the perfect place to age every bottle of wine we make. In addition, the 100-seat Wild Boar Room serves as a romantic and beautiful backdrop for our monthly Guest Chef Dinner Series and Private Events.

BOTTLE SHOCK MOVIE TRAILER
GustavoThrace was founded in 1996 by partners Gustavo Brambila and Thrace Bromberger. This is now the 12th anniversary of the winery and it has been a true wonder to participate in the evolution from the decision to start a winery and make our own wines to becoming a nationally recognized and distributed brand of wine. We started with 250 cases of wine in 1996 and in 2007 we harvested enough grapes to make over 3,000 cases under the GustavoThrace label. We specialize in tiny lots of only 200-300 cases of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Barbera, Petite Sirah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah. We also make a GustavoThrace wine called “The Third Bottle”, our fabulous, value table wines from the Napa Valley. We are currently producing about 7,000 cases of wine under that label. The winery is located at the south end of Napa and our tasting room is GustavoThrace at McKinstry at 1021 McKinstry, right across from the new OxBow Center, in Napa. You may contact us there at (707) 257-6796.

Ilsley Vineyards

Nestled in the fertile hills of Napa Valley's Stags Leap District lie the Ilsley Vineyards. For three generations our family has provided grapes for some of Napa Valley's finest wines. Now after fifty years of farming, we have hand-selected grapes from our hillside vineyards to produce two limited production, estate wines, that we believe capture the essence of the Stags Leap District.
Our Stags Leap Cabernet Sauvignon is a complex, fully textured, rich wine typical of our hand-farmed vineyard within the Stags Leap District. The "Seis Primas", a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Merlot, blends delicious fruit flavors with elegance and balance

WesMar Winery

Many of you already know us, but for those of you who do not, we are Kirk Wesley Hubbard and wife, Denise Mary Selyem and beloved companion Zinny. For several years father and winery owner, Ed Selyem, had been asking us to leave our corporate world jobs to work in the family owned winery. After finally accepting his offer, we worked under his tutelage for many years learning about Pinot Noir and the wine business. Upon his retirement and the sale of the winery, we began to embark upon our own winery adventure.
In March 2000, we began to restore part of an old apple processing warehouse in Sebastopol, CA. This is now the home of our winery, where we carry out all phases of winemaking. We love working with a local agricultural product and seeing this raw product to its final stage, wine. We enjoy the relationships fostered between grape growers, suppliers, customers and ourselves. We relish being business owners, and working together in all facets of our wine endeavor to make wine for everyone’s enjoyment!
