2KS- NorthStar Mares

This section highlights our current Appaloosa mares. We carefully select our mares from among the finest available Foundation-bred Appaloosas. Each mare is evaluated based on how we feel her conformation, abilities, overall quality and pedigree will contribute to the goals of our breeding program. You can find expected foaling dates for our mares by going to the Breeding Schedules section. The calendar will be updated in February with the expected 2006 foaling dates.

Current Mares NorthStar Gidget NorthStar Gidget is a 2000 filly by North Star Cowboy and North Star Rebel. She is being kept as a broodmare, but like all our horses she is broke to ride. Gidget started under saddle early in 2003 and has done quite well. Gidget is inquisitive and friendly, yet spirited. She also has the Indian Shuffle gait.
