I just recently bought an unregistered app (solid as his dad's a QH, I actually was interested in him because of his Two Eyed Jack lines). The first time I rode him I fell in love with his smooth gaits. Our first time out on the trail, I noticed he was doing something that could not be a walk because of the speed, but it was not a trot either. I started looking up all the info I could on the Indian Shuffle, your site is very informative!! He does have a head nod when he is doing this, I will have to ride him a bit more to try to identify exactly what he is doing. I look forward to it as it's very comfortable, but the drawback is that I am leaving my other friends horses in the dust!! I saw a post where it was mentioned that most gaited horses came from Ulrich lines, I am unfamiliar with Appaloosa lines so was looking for them on my gelding's dam's side. Her registered name is Sparkle Charm, by ENR's Wapiti Scamp and Sally's Charm. Grandsire on top side is Wapiti's Haunta and grandsire on bottom side is Rasmusson Comanche. Does this ring any bells with anyone as far as any of these horses being gaited? I sure feel lucky to have come across this little surprise, his previous owners had never heard of the Indian Shuffle.
